The Community Sport – Initiation program is the entry point for participants to become involved in coaching the sport of basketball. The aim for the children is to learn fundamental movement skills through basketball in a positive, inclusive and fun way. The coaches of this program will be provided with the necessary skills and knowledge to introduce the sport of basketball to children from the ages of 5 to 9 years old.
Coaches of this program will be provided with worksheets (downloaded by the coach before the clinic) along with a Coaches Workbook, reference materials and a Coach Toolbox.
