Getting into coaching is very simple.
The Community Coach Program is the first step to coaching education in Canada. It is a Canadian Soccer Association Program and comprises the technical and practical training components of the National Coaches Certification Program (NCCP).
It is important that all coaches understand player development needs at all ages. Each course is designed with various stages (age) of development in mind.
Coaches working with Children 5-8 years should complete the Community Youth One Course.
Coaches working with Youth players 9-12 years should complete up to and including the Youth Two Community Coach Course
As part of the program you will get to take both of these courses which will teach the basics of coaching soccer to children under the age of 12. It is a fun two days with lots of on the field time to learn the techniques and how to teach them to children.
