Wading Pool Attendant
Age Requirement: 15 yrs by course start date.
100% Attendance mandatory.
TSLP will be offering a Wading Pool Attendant and Standard First Aid & CPR course. This is a 20 hour weekend course, 100 % attendance is required. Training is in the classroom and in the pool. The wading pool attendant award is designed to provide lifesavers the knowledge and skills to supervise a wading pool. In Ontario, a wading pool is less than 75 metres of water( 2 feet, 6 inches) in depth. The award includes an overview of safety supervision and accident prevention and develops candidates leadership abilities needed to provide a safe aquatic environment.
Standard First Aid CPR “C”
This first aid course provides training in first aid and CPR including the knowledge of first aid principles and emergency treatment of injuries. Skills include: victim assessment, CPR and choking, breathing and circulation/bleeding emergencies. The course also reviews the medical/legal aspects of providing treatment and prepares candidates with the ability to treat injuries including spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, burns and medical emergencies.
Candidates wishing to get their Wading Pool Attendant and Standard First Aid with CPR-C course can choose ONE of the following courses and attend all dates for the course:
